All pack trips and services are conducted in a professional and organized manner. Trained, knowledgeable packer, well cared for and trusted animals, quality equipment and service enable you to have an enjoyable and memorable experience. The price includes Packer, Stock animals, Pack equipment, Wilderness Permit, and Hauling of pack animals to trailhead. |
 A deposit of 50% of total cost is
required to book a trip. |
| Check in time at our facility is 8:00 am, unless otherwise
specified or pre-arranged. If possible, we recommend that you arrive
at the pack station the afternoon/evening before the trip begins. This
allows us time to do necessary organizing and pre-packing to ensure early
starts. |
| Equipment and Dunnage is restricted to 180lbs per animal.
This will give you a guide in planning the number of pack animals you
will need
for your trip. |
| Our pack boxes measure 23 x 11 x 16
inches high. |
| Personal items should be packed in
a soft style duffel or
gear bag. Sleeping bag(s) can be in separate duffels. |
| Axes and saws must have a sheath around
the blade(s) or they
will not be packed. |
| Fishing rods/Rifles (UNLOADED) should
be in a stout secure case or
tube with secure ends. |
| Tent poles should be reduced to shortest
possible length,
and secured together. |
| Release pressure in lanterns and stoves,
and fill fuel
cans/containers 1" from top. |
| If you have your own pack boxes, pack no more then 70lbs per box,
and have them equally balanced. |
| Bring canned food and bottled goods separated from soft package
items and perishables. Leave eggs in original or some secure container. |
| No improved campsites in wilderness
areas, each party must
bring own grill/stove and tables. |
| Each client is required to sign a
waiver releasing Trout Lake Pack Station from all risks, which must be
read, completely filled out,
and signed prior to the start of the trip. |
